Chapter 4: Aldrin Stormborn
"Wake Up, Master Rin!"
I woke up with a start, sweating profusely. I expected to be in the afterlife, but on the contrary, I found myself surrounded by silk white sheets and large pillows. The light of the morning sun shone through a nearby window, warming my eyes, and the scent of jasmine tea and fried eggs wafted through the air.
I briefly glanced around me. I was in a large bedroom, usual stonewall, but ten times bigger than the one I was accustomed to.
The bed was incredibly sturdy and the sheets were soft. So soft.
"Master Rin?" A voice called out.
Standing right before me was a tall lady, dressed in a maid’s uniform, with long grey hair tied in a bun. Her eyes were brown and deep-set, and a pair of glasses rested upon her thin nose.
For a while, I admired her wonderfully large chest, forgetting everything else around me.
"Good morning, Master Rin," The grey-haired maid repeated calmly. "Your mother requests your presence at once."
"Rin?... Who’s Master Rin?" I muttered, half-awake.
The maid stared at me questioningly, then let out a brief laugh.
"That’s very funny, Master Rin."
I didn’t really get it. What was funny?
