Chapter 1026: The Source of the Disease
Dr. Xue is leading a team conducting door-to-door investigations throughout the village, even though this investigation has been done several times.

The next day, Dr. Xue and his team looked at the report. The number of infected people today had reached forty-five on the table, more than double the initial number, with the highest infection rate in Ji Village at twenty-eight, and four deaths.
"Dr. Xue! Bad news, six new infection cases have just appeared!"
This time, Dr. Xue felt entirely overwhelmed.
A few people in protective clothing hurried to the quarantine area. The six people came from two families, both consisting of three members each.
Four adults and two children, with one of the adults already having a high fever.

"The new cases were just discovered. The children had been ill for some time, but the adults kept it secret and only reported it today when they couldn’t hide it anymore. Upon investigation, we found that both families were infected. This is the most severe case of six people from two families being infected." The staff were also frustrated; they were checking every day, and any abnormalities were dealt with immediately.
