As the seconds ticked by, Brother Tai and his group were drinking and eating. They spent more than two hours doing so, but thankfully the alcohol wasn’t plentiful. Otherwise, no one knew how long they would have kept drinking.

Just before leaving, Brother Tai took a glance around the farm. They hadn’t gotten far when police officers charged out from the roadside and detained them. Caught off guard, they were immediately handcuffed and pinned to the ground by the policemen.
The sudden surprise sobered them up quite a bit. Niu Wa and Er Lvzi were so scared they wet themselves while Mangzi and Brother Tai were also frightened.
Among the four, Brother Tai managed to remain the calmest. He feigned ignorance, asking, "Comrades, has something happened? Why are you arresting us good folks? We’re simple country folk working nearby."
Mangzi quickly agreed, "Yes, we’re not bad people. We lease two nearby mountains for farming. We didn’t do anything wrong! If you don’t believe us, ask the people at the farm. We were just helping them push the cart, and they had invited us for a meal."
The squad leader simply answered, "Whether you are guilty or not will be determined at the police station."
At that moment, Jian Jun and Liu Sanwa stepped out from the roadside bushes. Upon seeing Jian Jun, Brother Tai immediately appealed for help, "Young man, please explain to the policemen. We’re not criminals."
