Chapter 436 - 211: Divorce Agreement
Tong Yao thought to herself, even if she wanted to argue, she wouldn’t be able to, with Si Chen being as cool-headed as if he’d swallowed several bottles of sedatives, she’s never seen Si Chen lose his temper.
Perhaps in his lifetime, Si Chen will never show an aggressive side because his personality was not that of an impatient and easy to anger person.
The blankets in the hospital ward were not very thick, so Tong Yao didn’t sleep well at first. But later on, she felt the temperature inside the blanket suddenly rise, as if spring had arrived. When she woke up in the morning, she realized that there were extra blankets on top of her and Wen Yun’s.
It turns out that Si Chen had brought blankets from the nearby ward in the middle of the night when he noticed their discomfort due to the cold. Since Yaohui was still not awake, Si Chen put extra clothing on his blanket instead of adding another blanket.
When he saw Tong Yao and Wen Yun wake up, he tidied up the blankets into a square shape, "I’ll take these back with me when I go grab some breakfast. If something comes up, go and find the doctor on duty."
He pointed to the locker next to the bed, "There is hot water and cotton swabs there. When dad wakes up, remove his breathing apparatus and dampen his lips with the swab. You can also feed him a small amount of lukewarm water."
Tong Yao reminded him, "I think we only have rice and flour at home."
They hadn’t lived there for a long time, so they didn’t have much food. Now, on New Year’s Day, the restaurants and the Vegetable Market were closed with no place to buy food.
"It’s okay, we can just make some porridge for now." Wen Yun whispered, "In a couple of days when the Vegetable Market opens again, I’ll buy some groceries and cook some good food for us."
Now that her husband was still not awake, Wen Yun didn’t have much of an appetite.
