At the back of the line of horses, there was a man riding a tall horse, holding a whip. The man continually shouted slogans, occasionally snapping the whip, yet never really letting it fall on the horses’ backs. Evidently, he was commanding these mutated horses.
Behind the man commanding the mutated horses was a group of soldiers in camouflage uniforms. When Lin Shuangshuang saw these people in camouflage, she breathed a sigh of relief because they were familiar faces. These soldiers in camouflage were none other than Song Yuhang and his team, whom they had parted with just two months ago.
When Lin Shuangshuang saw Song Yuhang and the others, Song Yuhang also spotted Shuangshuang’s group. Upon this sudden reunion, both sides were pleasantly surprised. Since they were certain there were no enemies, there was no need for heightened vigilance.

Those that couldn’t move also evolved bizarre abilities, such as trees with the power of thunder and lightning that could electrocute anyone who touched them, with enough power to act as generators. There were also plants that grew thorns to shoot as weapons, while crops humans used to eat became completely unrecognizable due to mutation.
