Chapter 1174: One Step Late
The engine roared on the street in the middle of the night, and the D-Wheel pierced the night like a red arrow, speeding.
The speed on the odometer was approaching 300 yards per hour, but the D-Wheel was still accelerating, and Yusei still didn't seem to have the intention of releasing the accelerator.
Yuei Vu didn't know the traffic rules of the future, nor did he know whether there was a speed limit for driving the D-Wheel on weekdays, but he thought Yusei might be overspeeding.
But as a wanted criminal who sneaked from the satellite area and blew up the roof of a duel arena, Yusei probably wouldn't mind adding "overspeed" to his long list of crimes.
Of course, Yuei Vu didn't stop him.
It's understandable that Yusei would be so nervous. After all, they had just left a murder scene – murder by a card game, no less – and the death prophecy of Jack Atlas was written on the wall with some kind of paint.
Yuei Vu thought that the line should have been left by Mr. Sakata Ryo who had died. Maybe he had a verbal exchange with his opponent during the duel – this situation was quite common. Most villains often had a strong desire to express themselves, especially liked to communicate their evil plan to those whom they thought were already doomed, and revealed their intention of the next move.
So Mr. Ryo left this line before he died, perhaps hoping that if someone saw it, they could save the next victim in time, or catch the Shadow Duelist who committed the crime.
But in any case, there was a high probability that Jack Atlas was in danger.
