Chapter 3: Games People Play Part 3
"Kimmie, I’m really sorry if I’ve scared you," Addison said, as he made eye contact with his step sister. "I guess my body got carried away, and I just didn’t know how make this stop."
Realizing he was being honest about these feelings, Kimmie couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief that despite the awkwardness, he was still the same weird boy she knew. A million questions started racing through her head now.
"Why do you find my feet attractive Addison?" it was a simple question, but Kimmie felt she should know this first, before upsetting him further.
Addison thought about it for a second before replying. "I guess about everything. They always just look pretty, and I know this will sound weird, but I like how they smell too."
The answer once again caught the young college student off guard. Sure, she thought her feet could look pretty, but never thought the smell was something Addison could like. Kimmie brought her right foot up to her nose and gave it a few sniffs, just to see if she noticed something now that she hadn’t before. This was to no avail, as she reeled back from her own stench.
"Phew, my feet smell horrible though!" Kimmie said with a laugh. "Dad always tells me that I got my stinky feet from my mom."
Both Addison and Kimmie laughed together for the first time since this tense situation began. It was a good, genuine laugh though, and the awkwardness started to evaporate the more they laughed. Kimmie had always had this habit to start snorting if she laughed to long, and soon found herself doing so and making her sides hurt. As her step brother, Addison was used to these ridiculous snorts, but never ceased to find this hilarious. They continued laughing for a good solid minute before finally their laughter dissipated.
Brought back down to Earth, Kimmie realized there was still so much more she felt she needed to ask. "So is just my feet, or does this happen with other girls too."
Addison was still shrugging off the giggles, so he merely nodded in response to the question. Now Kimmie was starting to find this interesting, rather than weird. "How about Sabrina, I know you really like her a lot. Does she have nice feet to you?"
The mention of Sabrina brought Addison back to full seriousness. "Yeah, I’ve always thought her feet were pretty too," he admitted. "Are you gonna tell her about it?"
Kimmie shook her head. "No, but if you ever plan on dating her, you should tell her yourself. I’m sure she would be accepting of it."
