Chapter 752: Ready for Valhalla
With the formalities complete, Vlad finally allowed himself a moment to breathe. Terra was now part of the Graecia Empire, protected by its vast strength and status.
Of course, Vlad had no intention of relying solely on others for the safety of his world—he had long since put plans into motion to make Terra self-sufficient. But when it came to deterrence, the more layers of defense, the better.
He had barely settled into this moment of satisfaction when Merody, the ogre councilor, spoke again, his voice sharp and clear.
"Of course—be advised. If, by the time the Imperial Censor arrives on Terra, there is not a unified and peaceful response to their inspection, you two will be considered guilty of perjury. The penalties for such a crime are... not light."
A cold chill crept down Vlad’s spine, and even Konstantine’s expression tightened for a brief moment. The warning was not an empty threat. Merody had expedited the process, perhaps even bent a few protocols in the name of efficiency—but if Vlad and Konstantine had lied, they would both face severe consequences.
Luckily, there was no falsehood. Terra was indeed unified under Vlad’s absolute authority. There would be no resistance.
Both men waited patiently as the final steps concluded. Moments later, a strange eagle-shaped construct arrived, dissolving into a stream of glowing energy, leaving behind three boxes that floated before Vlad. Without hesitation, he opened them.
The first contained his Duke Emblem—a magnificent artifact, radiant and humming with spatial energy. It shimmered before transforming into a space ring that integrated seamlessly into Vlad’s being.
The second box held a sword—Stormrazor Fang—a majestic, deadly blade pulsing with the power of Lightning and Space. The third held an ancient tome—Heaven-Cleaving Void Scripture—bound in scales and glowing with a faint, otherworldly light.
