Beyond the Apocalypse

Chapter 738: Facing a Superior Legend

All seven figures crossed the weakened Crystal Wall, yet the one leading them, walking at the forefront like a blazing comet, was none other than the Superior Legend Angel. His aura was immense, radiating divine might and searing heat. The others, though powerful in their own right, dared not walk too close—his presence alone was suffocating.

It didn’t take long for the seven to arrive above the capital of the Xaos Kingdom. Floating high in Terra’s skies, they cast their eyes downward, surveying the city below and its guardians.

From their elevated vantage point, the elders scanned both their own fallen subordinates and the defending forces of the Xaos Kingdom. What they saw filled them with mixed emotions—disappointment toward their subordinates, and incredulous fury toward the power this unknown civilization possessed.

Their own Legends had been brought low and held hostage. That alone was humiliation. But more so, the idea that some backwater kingdom—one no one in their faction had even heard of—had dared to demand ransom from them? That was unacceptable.

None burned hotter with rage than the Superior Legend Angel.

"How dare you!" he roared, his voice cracking like divine thunder across the sky.

His aura exploded with golden fire, releasing a wave of divine heat that seared the air and turned the sky a blazing gold. The pressure was so immense it would have incinerated anyone beneath the Sage Level instantly.

The energy towers of Xaos City responded at once. Dozens of defensive systems activated simultaneously, forming layered forcefields that superimposed over one another. The barrier shimmered with dense runes and circulating arcs of energy. It crackled with such power that even a Superior Legend would have to struggle to force his way through.

The sight stunned the High Legends. They exchanged glances, silently questioning how this unknown "Xaos Kingdom" had developed such advanced technology—and how they could hide such power while being hidden from the rest of the universe.

Still, now was not the time for investigation. All eyes turned toward the two figures suspended midair: the Superior Legend from Heaven, ablaze with divine fury, and the white-haired warrior holding the bloodied Angel like a discarded doll.

The High Legends remained silent—neutral observers for now. While they shared a purpose with the angelic powerhouse, they also knew that unnecessary risk in the Higher Dimensions could be fatal. Watching from a distance, they waited.
