Beyond the Apocalypse

Chapter 705: Learnign the truth

Vlad couldn’t help but smile as he felt the raw power coursing through his body. With the Legendary Demon Soul and these Divine Treasures, my battle power has reached an entirely new level!

"If I were to clash with the Legendary Vorometallciae again, I could kill him without a doubt!" The thought sent a surge of killing intent through the Depravita of Wrath’s mind, sharp and intoxicating.

Although the desire for battle burned fiercely within him, Vlad maintained his composure, as there was still a lot of work to do. He was not just a Legend, but a massive stronghold that would surely send enough power to kill him if he made the slightest mistake.

The Depravita of Wrath spent a great deal of time collecting resources and treasures from the tower—artifacts that would prove invaluable for his work.

With his haul secured, he left the tower behind and walked calmly back to his residence. Despite his newfound status as the supreme leader of the Korokor Stronghold—a status that entitled him to claim General Tiberius’s mansion—Vlad preferred the comfort of his own home.

The Depravita of Wrath was already familiar with it, and familiarity bred control, not to mention that it had already seen many successes, bringing a sense of confidence to his heart. Within a few minutes, he was back in his sanctuary and wasted no time before getting back to work.

The Legendary Demon Cage Runic Formation was already completed—a masterpiece of arcane engineering—but there was still much to be done in terms of rune crafting.

Other runic constructs could significantly impact the battlefield and reduce the pressure he and the soldiers would face. Vlad intended to make full use of every advantage he had for the incoming clash.

Without ceremony, he waved his hand, and a corpse emerged in a flash of light. It was none other than the body of the Legendary Vorometallciae with long-bladed fingers, whom Vlad had slain shortly after evolving into a True Depravita.

The corpse’s face was frozen in the last expression it had worn in life—a mix of shock, horror, and disbelief, captured forever at the moment Vlad tore the man’s heart from his chest.

Vlad took a deep breath. Using the vast array of treasures at his disposal, he began restoring the body with meticulous care. He worked tirelessly, guided by precision and an unsettling calm. When he was finished, the corpse appeared so lifelike that, if not for the absence of a soul, one could easily mistake it for merely sleeping.
