Beyond the Apocalypse

Chapter 620: All-out battlefield (I)

Scipius and Cato moved at astonishing speed, charging forward with such urgency that they quickly outpaced the rest of their teams, leaving them trailing far behind. Strategically, this move was reckless, but they could not afford the luxury of patience.

Valeria’s team was in critical danger, and if Scipius and Cato were delayed any longer, the risk of casualties would be very high. Yet, just as they approached the chaotic battlefield, two figures burst toward them with overwhelming killing intent.

Scipius’s eyes widened in astonishment as he registered his opponent’s incredible speed. Reacting immediately, the intricate runes covering his body flared with blinding light, causing his already imposing physique to rapidly swell in size. His muscles bulged massively, and his strength surged exponentially, reaching levels of terrifying physical might.

Crossing his muscular arms in front of his chest, Scipius formed a living shield just in time to intercept Ouroboros’s devastating kick.

"BOOOOOOMMMM!"

The thunderous impact echoed across the battlefield. Ouroboros felt genuine shock flash through his heart as his kick—a strike with monstrous force—was utterly halted.

Scipius did not budge even an inch from the blow, rooted to the ground like a towering, immovable mountain. Ouroboros immediately felt a surge of overwhelming pressure coursing through his leg, the backlash so powerful that his bones threatened to crack from the sheer collision with Scipius’ reinforced physique.

Instinctively aware of the immense danger he faced, Ouroboros instantly withdrew, leaping backward at the last possible second. Not a moment too soon—Scipius’ counterattack came immediately after, a heavy kick slicing through the air, shattering the sound barrier with a sonic boom.

"BOOM!"
