Chapter 473: The final battle has begun!
The Leviathan Lords’ triumphant smirks froze as they observed the Divine Ballistic Missiles behaving in ways they hadn’t anticipated. Stricken but undeterred, the missiles split apart into numerous smaller projectiles, each arcing toward the Leviathan swarm with deadly precision. The transformation was a testament to Vlad and Overlord’s foresight, as they had long anticipated the hive mind’s ability to neutralize standard weaponry. What began as a few massive missiles now multiplied into a swarm of their own, raining destruction upon the Leviathans from every conceivable angle.
A cold, bloodthirsty grin stretched across Vlad’s face as he watched the missiles descend. Each projectile carried momentum and fury, moving too swiftly and from distances too close for the Leviathan defenses to counter. The hive mind, so used to controlling the battlefield with precision and overwhelming numbers, found itself outmatched by sheer ingenuity.
Then, the devastation began.
"BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!" "BOOM!"
Explosions ripped through the Leviathan swarm in an unrelenting cascade. Each detonation resonated with staggering force, the shockwaves amplifying and feeding into one another to create a devastating chain reaction. Fire and lightning engulfed the battlefield, consuming drones in waves. Millions of them were obliterated in mere moments, reduced to ash and twisted fragments of chitin.
Even the Leviathan Warriors, hulking brutes capable of withstanding direct attacks from High Champion, could not endure the projectiles’ concentrated power. When struck directly, their massive bodies were obliterated, leaving only scattered remnants in the inferno’s wake. The sheer efficiency of the destruction was breathtaking, and yet it was just the beginning.
The Leviathan Lords, however, were not so easily defeated. Their monstrous rage boiled over as they evaded the inferno. The Draco Leviathan Lord and Manticore Leviathan Lord took to the skies, using their wings to stay ahead of the fiery chaos. Though the Draco Lord roared in fury, its movements were calculated, weaving through the maelstrom with deadly precision. The Manticore Lord, more savage in its approach, hissed and spat venom, lashing out at the air as it soared.
On the ground, the Kraken Leviathan Lord struggled against the inferno. With no wings to carry it to safety, it burrowed its immense body deep beneath the earth. While this maneuver spared it from total annihilation, the explosions sent tremors through the ground, leaving visible wounds across its gargantuan form. Nearby, the Multi-Arm Leviathan Lord faced its own trial. Forced to dart from side to side, it used Armored Leviathans as shields, sacrificing members of its own kind to protect itself. Yet even these desperate measures could not prevent injury, as flames licked its body and scorched its flesh.
Even the obsidian obelisk, the Leviathan Race’s heart and stronghold, was not spared. Several projectiles struck its surface, unleashing explosions that would have leveled lesser structures. Yet the obelisk stood, its imposing form barely scratched. The blasts that devastated the Leviathan forces seemed little more than an annoyance to the obelisk’s impenetrable facade.
Vlad’s sharp eyes narrowed as he assessed the damage—or lack thereof. While the missiles had wreaked havoc among the Leviathans, the obelisk remained a towering symbol of their resilience. Its survival came as no surprise to Vlad. He had never entertained the notion that the Leviathan Race’s core would fall so easily. This war would not be won in a single strike; it would take relentless determination and every ounce of strength humanity could muster.
