Chapter 422: Biomass shipment (II)
Vlad could not help but smile as he gazed at the golden-armored giant. Profound happiness arose in his heart at the realization that he had managed to secure someone of such caliber on his side. The same admiration was evident in the eyes of everyone present; the plan Anglius had proposed was perfect and would assist them on multiple fronts.
It would not only work to destroy the biomass shipment.
After all, sooner or later, they would have to truly embark on an expedition into Kylen Country if they wanted to reach the heart of the Leviathan Race. This mock incursion would serve as an excellent test, proving the new weapon and moves that the hive mind had prepared for them, and it would diminish their pressure since they could retreat without any problem.
"Your plan makes perfect sense, Grand Marshal," Overlord’s voice echoed from the metallic orb hovering above the center of the command tent. "Unless anyone else has another idea they would like to share, we will follow that plan."
Overlord allowed everyone present to express their opinions and delve into a better strategy. The leaders exchanged glances, but after a moment of silence, it was clear that no one had any objections. The plan was sound, and they were ready to handle the fine details.
"The mock incursion into Kylen Country will not be easy," Overlord continued. "Although the Leviathans were defeated at Kuro Mountain and lost millions of units, the hive mind must have used the knowledge from that clash to prepare for a new fight. Traps or hidden dangers will surely await us in Kylen Country. Since our goal is just to draw attention and we must be quick and swift, only the top 3,000 Turkin riders, the Golden Wave Legion’s top 1,000 soldiers, and the Shadowstrike Legion will move. They will be accompanied by the Royal Guards."
Sharpness and solemnity arose in everyone’s eyes as the shadow of the next clash began to loom over them. Every encounter with the Leviathan Race was incredibly dangerous due to the overwhelming adaptability and unique forces that the hive mind could deploy. They could never lower their guard for even a second, as that would be tantamount to inviting death.
"The rest of the Golden Wave Legion and the Turkin riders will remain at Kuro Mountain," Overlord added. "We must reinforce the structure and keep a vigilant eye on the zone. The hive mind has already proven it can focus on two battlefields at the same time, so we cannot allow any Leviathan force to move through Karman Country unnoticed."
Grand Marshal Anglius and King Viserion shared profound nods as they heard Overlord’s distribution of forces. The incursion needed to be fast and powerful, so it made sense that the strongest would go. Leaving a sizable force at Kuro Mountain would ensure the protection of the Turkin and Xaos Kingdoms from any sneak attacks.
