Chapter 411: Vlad vs Divine Leviathan (III)
Just the Divine Leviathan’s overwhelming stats were enough to make Vlad frown. The sheer magnitude of its strength, agility, vitality, and energy pool was staggering. But when he heard the last part from his A.I. Chip—that the Divine Leviathan’s spiritual waves matched those of the God of Fame and Glory—he was at a loss for words. Soon, enlightenment flooded his eyes as pieces began to lock together.
"This Divine Leviathan is not a new weapon that the hive mind managed to create, nor is there a god helping the Leviathans," Vlad thought, his mind racing. "The answer is much simpler."
The God of Fame and Glory must have escaped toward the Moonson Continent after his defeat in the Xaos-Azarin War. Unfortunately for the deity, he was found by the Leviathans, who corrupted him and transformed him into a unique weapon—melding the physical power of those monsters with his Divine Force. Of course, since Divine Force required the power of faith to recharge and the Leviathans seemed incapable of producing it, there was no way to replenish the energy pool of the Divine Leviathan. This explained why it was kept hidden until the last possible second.
Vlad did not doubt that, had he not shown up, the hive mind would have preferred to keep the Divine Leviathan concealed and simply rely on the normal units, despite that path causing the death of more than a million drones.
"God of Fame and Glory," Vlad uttered those words aloud, a meaningful light appearing in his eyes as a small smile formed on his face. "Well, at least you’re less ugly now."
The Depravita of Wrath allowed himself a moment of dark humor, granting himself a second to breathe. But then his smile faded, and the only thing that remained was coldness and killing intent. His eyes narrowed as he made his energy explode outward, lightning and fire swirling around him in a fierce aura. In an instant, he flashed forward, leaving a trail of crackling energy in his wake.
The hive mind had already analyzed the young man’s power and battle style, deciphering the best path forward. It sent the signal, and the Divine Leviathan once more dove toward Vlad. The monstrous entity hurtled through the sky like a meteor, its massive form cutting through the clouds.
Once more, the clash between the two boomed across the sky, sending shockwaves that made even the ground across Kuro Mountain tremble. Their power rose higher and higher, escalating with each passing moment. The air around them warped under the immense energies being unleashed. After a series of rapid exchanges, they put distance between each other, dark aura and golden force bursting forth as they prepared for the next assault.
Divine Force cloaked the right palm of the Divine Leviathan as it dived forward. The moment its palm thrust outward, it seemed as if a godly hand was descending, capable of leveling a mountain with a single strike. The sheer pressure of the attack caused the clouds to part and the atmosphere to vibrate with an otherworldly hum.
At the same time, Depravita Aura cloaked Vlad’s right fist. The energy revolved around it, forming a vortex that made it seem as if a tornado had been forged around his hand. Such overwhelming power flooded the sky, and bolts of lightning danced around him like serpents of pure energy.
Their eyes locked, each filled with unwavering determination and a burning desire to overcome the other. Time seemed to slow as they closed the gap between them, each pouring every ounce of their might into this decisive clash.
"RAAAAH!" Vlad roared, his voice echoing like thunder.
