Chapter 406: Divine Leviathan (I)
The Xoas Forces and Turkin riders, ready to march and fight until the last drop of energy and blood in their bodies, froze in place. They were not alone in their sudden stillness; even the swarm of Leviathans, creatures that knew no fear and that fought with suicidal might, halted their relentless advance. The overwhelming shock that such an explosion caused in both parties held them captive. As they focused on its origin, all eyes turned toward the heart of Kuro Mountain—the volcano itself.
A massive pillar of dark and obscure red energy erupted from within the fiery depths. It towered into the sky, a vortex that seemed to embody all the sins of the world. Yet, despite the dark and malevolent nature of its origin, there was no evil within. The swirling energies were under perfect control, achieving a flawless balance that spoke of immense power harnessed with absolute precision.
The Xaos Forces, Turkin riders, and even the millions of eyes of the Leviathans that formed the hive mind gazed upon the pillar in awe and trepidation. As they watched, a figure began to ascend within the column of energy—a young man rising from the volcano’s core. His presence was both commanding and otherworldly, drawing the attention of every being on the battlefield.
Freya, Anglius, Ouroboros, and the Royal Guards gazed at the ascending figure, their expressions a mix of awe and shock. Of course, the young man rising from the pillar was no other than Vlad, but there had been massive changes to the Xaos King.
His once jet-black hair had turned completely white. The eyes that had been pools of absolute darkness before his evolution now held red irises that glowed with overwhelming power and energy. His body had grown to an imposing height of three meters, his muscles adapting flawlessly to his new frame. An overwhelming physical power emanated from his flesh and blood, along with immense vitality, and waves of dark aura spread across his body from time to time—a manifestation of the massive change occurring within his energy pool.
Vlad’s figure rose through the pillar of dark energy until he stood hundreds of meters above the volcano’s zenith. Even as the pillar faded, he remained suspended in the air, floating effortlessly. Considering all the abilities and power the young man had displayed in the past, the ability to fly might not have seemed particularly impressive.
At least, that was what one might normally think. Yet, Freya’s eyes widened with awe and wonder. The reason for the shock in the young Viking princess was that Vlad was not flying due to the use of spells or wings but because of the power held inside his energy pool. In essence, the power of his energy was so immense and pure that it began to generate its own gravitational field, allowing the young man to defy gravity itself.
She could tell that Vlad’s level had yet to reach Level 16, so for him to be able to fly, it must mean his Life Level had risen beyond the Guardian Tier.
