Freya’s eyes were sharp as she instinctively clenched the grip of her sword. "You want us to engage them directly?"

"Yes," Vlad confirmed. "Your objective is to eliminate as many as possible. I want the hive to see you as a threat they need to obliterate."

Jormungandr’s expression was cold and sharp, with no fear or hesitation in his eyes. "So we’re to act as both sword and shield."

"Precisely," Vlad replied, his voice carrying a deep tone of determination and wisdom. "I need you to attack them, kill as many as you can, and collect the corpses in the process. If you start to steal their biomass, I am sure they will mark you as an even bigger threat."

Ouroboros gave a solemn nod to Vlad’s words. "Understood. We’ll do what’s necessary."

The Viking princess, the Depravitas, and the Royal Guards nodded in unison, their faces resolute. They were accustomed to following Vlad’s lead, trusting in his judgment without doubt, as he always knew what to do. Their faith in the young man had reached the point where they did not need to understand why he gave a command; they just needed to do it.

However, not everyone shared their readiness. Viserin stepped forward, a frown creasing his features. The soldiers of the Turkin Kingdom behind him exchanged uneasy glances, mirroring their leader’s apprehension.

"You’re asking us to engage an enemy we barely understand," Viserin said carefully. "The dangers are immense. We could be walking into a slaughter."

Vlad met his gaze evenly. "I won’t lie to you—the risks are high, especially since we have yet to see the type of warriors that rise among these creatures. But there is no other path. Whatever these things are, they present a level of danger I have yet to fathom, but they must be taken care of as soon as possible, and we all must accept the risks."
