Chapter 310: Divine Avatar’s plot (II)
"Disgusting monkeys! You will pay for this!" one of the angels spat, his eyes blazing with hatred.
"We won’t tell you anything!" another snarled, straining against the lightning chains.
"You will be punished!" the third hissed, contempt dripping from his words.
Before the questions could even begin, the angels erupted into a chorus of rage and insult. Their xenophobia and disdain were palpable, each word laced with venom. It was clear they would rather die than cooperate.
Vlad remained unfazed by their outbursts. He glanced at Jormungandr and gave a subtle nod.
The small yellow cat stepped forward, his black eyes igniting with devilish flames as he focused on the High Champion angel. The air grew heavy with a sinister energy. The angel’s bravado faltered as he locked eyes with Jormungandr.
Suddenly, the angel’s eyes widened in terror. An invisible force assaulted his mind, delving into the depths of his soul. The other angels watched in horror as their comrade began to tremble uncontrollably.
"Stay strong! Don’t give in!" they shouted, desperation creeping into their voices.
But their words fell on deaf ears. The High Champion angel’s face contorted in fear, beads of sweat mingling with the blood trickling from his nose, eyes, and ears. After a few agonizing minutes, his body convulsed violently before collapsing to the ground.
A stream of Origin Force rose from his lifeless form, flowing into Freya. Although Jormungandr had delivered the final blow, the Plane Will recognized Freya as the one who had defeated and incapacitated him in combat.
Jormungandr showed no concern for the Origin Force. Turning to Vlad, a solemn expression crossed his face. "I had to push Nightmare Weaver to its limit to break his defenses. It shattered his soul, but I got what we needed. They were on a mission from a god of Heaven, aiming to awaken his Divine Avatar inside Terra."
