Beyond the Apocalypse

Chapter 293: Ready to clash

The golden soldiers continued marching forward under the guidance of the golden titan, their gazes sharp as they observed the fifty thousand soldiers of the Turkin Kingdom approaching.

There was no fear in their hearts, no signs of nervousness. These were men who had faced the might of the Azarin Empire and experienced battles in which a God ran away. Events like that had shaped their mentality to the point that even if they faced an army ten times larger, they were still ready to fight without hesitation.

Grand Marshal Anglius’ eyes were deep with resolution and unshakable determination as he led his forces. He had risen swiftly in power and mentality over the last couple of months, his body capable of facing even High Champion demons.

The military general had been given a command by the man he saw as a living god: to showcase the might of the Golden Wave Legion—their determination, focus, and preparation. He would not disappoint.

Viserin also guided his soldiers forward, but unlike the golden warriors of the Xaos Kingdom, his forces showed signs of nervousness and apprehension. Yet, all eyes fell on him, witnessing his absolute focus and readiness, inspiring them to stay strong.

The Turkin King’s eyes were sharp, his aura roaring as he became a beacon to his people. His gaze couldn’t help but focus on the gargantuan man leading the opposing force. The titan’s towering size made Viserin appear small even atop his massive tiger mount.

Of course, Viserin understood that size did not equate to strength, but he could feel the immense energy emanating from the man’s body—a force within his blood that burned with a might he was unfamiliar with.

"Is that the Xaos King?" Viserin muttered to himself. Although he had received information from Keron, the scout’s Gift was not flawless, and he couldn’t provide much detail when events were too far away.

Just as these thoughts crossed Viserin’s mind, the golden titan halted his march, and not even a second later, all five thousand golden soldiers did the same. Their movements froze in unison, displaying a level of coordination that seemed truly inhuman—as if they were trained by an artificial intelligence capable of driving human minds to incredible levels of focus.

Seeing the golden army stop, King Viserin also signaled his soldiers to halt. While they complied, it wasn’t with the flawless coordination of the other side, partly due to their larger size and use of mounts.

There were exactly five hundred meters between both armies on flat terrain, making it easy for either side to march and gain enough momentum for a clash. It was as if only a signal was needed for an all-out battle to erupt, creating a tense atmosphere that filled the area.

King Viserin glanced at the golden titan and his soldiers, trying to understand their intentions. However, they remained silent and unmoving, their minds steady, giving no indication of their next move. Finally, after a minute of eerie silence, the golden titan moved forward alone before shouting.
