Chapter 247: Amazo
Vlad and Ouroboros’s eyes were sharp as they gazed from the cover of a forest at a powerful demonic horde ten thousand strong, with several Champions among its ranks. Behind the duo were the Royal Guards and the rest of the battalion, all having already assimilated their Devil Bloodlines, which greatly enhanced their physical might and energy pool.
After finishing his runes, Vlad allowed the entire battalion to rest for a few days, and only once they were at their peak did he bring them to this place. Their goal was to defeat this demonic horde that had taken control over a large portion of Knight City.
The battalion detected the horde’s presence about a month ago, but they did not engage. Not only did the horde have powerful Champions, but even the common demonic beasts were more powerful than average, which made sense since no one weak could survive in Knight City. However, the true core of Ouroboros and the Royal Guards’ apprehension was something else.
After going through the bulk of the demonic forces, Vlad and Ouroboros focused on a three-meter-tall Abyssal whose aura triggered the instincts of the Depravitas.
The High Champion Abyssal boasted a powerfully built, muscular structure that emphasized his agility and strength, resembling that of a cheetah. The face of the demon was a blend of feline and demonic traits, with large, pointed ears that curved backward and sharp, curving horns that emerged from its head.
The body was sculpted with intricate, swirling patterns that resembled fur and engraved armor, giving him a mystical and ominous appearance. This monochrome palette was accented by the stark, glowing red of his eyes that seemed capable of catching even the slightest movement.
In place of paws, this demon had clawed hands. These claws looked deadly and capable of significant destruction, fitting for an Abyssal that always enhanced its body to the utmost level of destruction and power. On his back was a tail adorned with spikes or barbs, which could become a lethal weapon in combat.
Vlad’s eyes and the power of the A.I. Chip scanned the force as he sought the best way to engage. Normally, against a demonic horde, the best strategy would be a sneak attack, but they were positioned in the ruins of a town and did not seem like they would be moving anytime soon. They would have to strike directly unless they wanted to wait for weeks.
A sharp light appeared in Vlad’s eyes as a massive bone sword appeared in his hand. He gazed at Ouroboros and the rest of the forces, making sure everyone understood their mission.
