Chapter 232: Demon Soul Master Strength System (III)
Of course, energy supply was just one aspect of the Level System since you could not rise higher if you did not have a strong enough Sea of Consciousness and soul force, but that was not a problem as the Depravita of Gluttony had made sure to enhance them with Origin Force. Right now, the Level cap of Jormungandr was so high, that the only thing that stopped him from reaching Level 16 was time.
After giving one final glance at the Strength Stalactite Magic Formation and making sure everything was in order, Jormungandr left. The formation could not enhance his High Champion Tier body, and Overlord was more qualified to determine who should use its power.
The soldiers performed a deep bow as they saw the small yellow cat leaving, and Jormungandr nodded before making his way to the Xaos Tower. He carefully reached the underground level and saw Vlad in deep contemplation and focus. Deciding not to bother the young man, he went to his alchemy laboratory to continue working on his experiments.
Vlad barely noticed the arrival of Jormungandr into the underground level and carried on with his analysis and simulations until he was finally satisfied with the theoretical work. However, now came the important part: putting the theory into action.
’I need people to test this, but who?’ As Vlad considered who should be granted the demon souls, a certain group appeared in his mind, and with a smile, he took his communicator gem and summoned them.
It did not take long for eleven people to arrive at the underground level of the Xaos Tower. All these people were soldiers, and their skin was pale as if they had not seen the sun for several weeks.
Each of these people had reached Level 6, but that seemed to be the limit of their potential. It was actually quite normal since, for most life forms, Level 5 was a limit they could not break. While these eleven had been granted treasures that helped them push their energy pool forward, they were limited as their Sea of Consciousness reached its limit.
While treasures with massive amounts of energy were precious, they were also not that uncommon, but those that could improve the Sea of Consciousness were something even Guardians would find hard to attain. That was why Origin Force was so precious and useful.
Unfortunately, the job of these people made it so they spent all their time confined in Xaos City and did not have the possibility of hunting aliens and earning Origin Force.
"Xaos King!" All eleven shouted and bowed in the presence of Vlad, their eyes sharp and resolute, full of conviction.
