Chapter 172: The end of the fight, the start of the tragedy (I)
Vlad did not let Orion finish her sentence before his blade fell, separating her head from the rest of her body. His hack carried so much power that he even severed the tree behind the woman. There was no hesitation in his move as he never considered for even a second allowing the angel to live or take her as a prisoner.
Orion had a sea of knowledge in her mind, which might have helped him understand the plots and strategy of the angels in Terra, but he could not allow her near his forces and could not keep constant vigilance on her.
Angels, especially those of noble descent, were expert manipulators and could easily turn the hearts of those around them, even their captors. There was no way Vlad would have allowed such a poisonous snake to invade his domain.
A second after Orion’s life ended, a torrent of golden energy emerged from her, dividing into two streams. A massive one containing 80% of the Origin Force flashed toward Vlad, who immediately channeled it into his body, healing from the burning wounds that the fight against the Level 10 angel and elemental left in his body.
The young man did not hesitate before taking Orion’s space ring and storing her body. He immediately turned his attention to the battlefield and flashed forward along with the Level 11 Fire Elemental.
As for the other 20% of the Origin Force that emerged from Orion’s corpse, it flashed across the battlefield before diving into Amara’s body. The Plane Will must have assumed that her part in luring the woman out of her fortress and the wounds she inflicted ensured she received a fifth of the Origin Force for killing the Level 10 Mage.
Amara showed a wide smile as she felt the massive amount of Origin Force reaching her Soul Dimension. She immediately channeled it into her body, using everything to repair the wounded muscles and burnt ankle and fix the backlash.
Although 20% might sound little, Orion was a Level 10 Mage with a Guardian Tier Bloodline, so the amount of Origin Force that the Plane Will granted was massive. It was enough to allow the Level 5 Royal Guard to rise from the ground, her body brimming with strength.
The Royal Guard was ready to flash into the battlefield. She was still far from being at full power as her energy pool was still low, but she could help on the battlefield, yet she did not move before turning toward the small yellow cat that stood on her shoulder.
Jormungandr felt the young woman’s gaze, and his eyes analyzed the battlefield with the help of the A.I. Chip before nodding toward her. "Let’s go."
Amara smiled fiercely before dashing toward the battlefield, heading toward the left flank as she intended to help the bloodline soldiers since the rest of the Royal Guards could easily handle the threats. Jormungandr stood on her shoulder, only watching over the battlefield, not acting but his energy ready to blast at any second.
The addition of the Royal Guard assassin put even more pressure on the angels, and things turned catastrophic for them once Vlad and the Fire Elemental rammed into the battlefield from the other side.
