Chapter 137: Fighting the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental (II)
It was at that moment that Vlad performed his strike as well, his sword seemingly aiming to cut the neck of the elemental, trying to separate the head from the rest of the body.
Even though its right arm was locked with the young woman’s mace, the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental was still able to respond to the young man. Its eyes were cold as its left hand adopted a blade stance, slashing toward Vlad’s face with shocking speed and capable of severing the wind in its path.
If Vlad kept pushing forward before his sword could reach the elemental’s neck, the hand blade would have cut his face in half. Luckily, the neck was never his goal, everything a feint, as he dived down, using the sword to deflect the hand blade before focusing all his strength on his right leg, performing a ferocious kick right above the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental’s energy core!
The physical strength in the blow was far from enough to overcome the physical defenses of the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental’s granite body. Yet, the key behind the attack was never to shatter bones but to make the already unstable energy core even more chaotic!
And by the fact that the entire body of the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental trembled as it took that hit, it seemed the kick was a success. It was as if explosive energy was burning through its veins, making the elemental feel immense pain, yet it still managed to remain firm, its eyes turned toward the young man.
The Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental’s right arm twisted, generating a centrifugal force that broke the stalemate with the mace, sending Freya flying away. Immediately after that, it clenched its fist with even greater strength, ready to bash the skull of the young man.
"Raising Ice Age!" Just as the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental was ready to strike Vlad, a voice full of power echoed, as spikes of ice emerged from the ground, blasting toward the elemental.
The ice spikes crashed with the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental’s rock body, most shattering, but some still managed to pierce through it, pushing it several meters and allowing Vlad to pull back.
The young man and old Viking glanced at each other, not uttering a single word and just nodding as they carried on with the fight.
