Chapter 119: Infernal Comet Runic Set’s destructive power
The Infernal Comet Runic Set allowed the young man to jump into the air for dozens of meters and fall with destructive and explosive might. However, he had little control over the descent, which was a weak point.
That was where the Bloodline Ability came into effect. Through Lightning Forged Charge, lightning energy covered Vlad’s body, and the next second, he let it loose, allowing his body to blast through the air in the desired direction, increasing his momentum and explosive fall even more!
"Push all your energy into the spell!" Jormungandr shouted toward the old viking as his Magic burst forth, and he opened his mouth, covering the trio in a powerful Lightning Barrier Spell.
Grey Hawk immediately followed Jormungandr’s command, pouring every ounce of his energy into the Frost Nova as he sensed the explosive might in the fall of the young man. Vlad had managed to steer the fall away from the ground, but the impending explosion still loomed, threatening to engulf them all!
Freya did not remain steady either. The young woman charged all her energy into her shield as she placed herself in front of the duo, generating a third defensive barrier just in time to see the raging meteorite crash into the ground.
Silence reigned when Vlad’s flaming figure crashed into the ground, but it did not last long, as a booming explosion echoed the next second.
"BOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!"
It was as if a ballistic missile had landed in the demonic forest. The impact created a massive crater, obliterating the demonic trees and mutated vines within its radius. The pressure wave and heat generated caused trees to be uprooted, snapped, or charred, with everything else blasted into smithereens.
Luckily for the trio, they were right outside of Vlad’s primary blast radius, but that did not mean they were out of danger. The fiery shock wave, a secondary effect of Vlad’s fall, blasted in all directions the next second, threatening to engulf them in its destructive path.
The demonic trees within this range experienced severe structural damage. The shockwave snapped trunks, broke branches, and uprooted smaller trees while blasting all the mutated vines. Some of the bigger trees remained standing, but the damage they endured was more than enough to destroy their vitality, ending their spirituality and life.
Freya, Jormungandr, and Grey Hawk watched in awe as the destructive might of the fiery shockwave destroyed everything before finally reaching them.
The old viking’s Frost Nova neutralized most of the heat wave, but the fiery blast, full of kinetic energy, still carried on. Freya used her shield and energy to break the blast’s force, her arm trembling as she clenched her teeth and remained steady, stopping the blast from overwhelming them. At the same time, Jormungandr charged more and more of his Magic into the Lightning Barrier Spell, protecting them from the demonic fire.
