Chapter 54: King of the Bunker
The apocalypse had arrived, and law and order had disappeared... Even with all this happening, it seemed that nothing had changed for Zanka and his family, and they were still living a mediocre life... On the contrary, inside this Bunker, the mediocre life they had outside was something he missed now.
His parents, who worked at the Deputy Mayor of Kaelor’s mansion, had convinced him to join this place shortly before the pandemic hit... But now, Zanka and his father were forced to ride their bicycles for almost six hours a day to get two mediocre meals that were barely enough to replace the calories he burned...
Zanka was still fine with the situation because he was young, but his father, already an elderly man, couldn’t handle this routine for long...
In less than two weeks, most of the other survivors who were in the same situation as Zanka could no longer bear living like this. Other survivors of the bunker, noticing the young men’s dissatisfaction, also began planting ideas in their heads. The final trigger for a rebellion against their leader was some of the beautiful celebrities who also lived there, making promises to those who saved them from the hands of the "disgusting leader" of this place.
These were promises no man could resist.
What Zanka and the others never imagined was that the Deputy Mayor they served in this bunker was no longer human.
Of the more than twenty men who attacked him, 12 were killed in horrific ways at the hands of the Deputy Mayor. And the eight survivors who were unlucky enough to survive suffered a punishment worse than death... Zanka, who was considered the leader of this rebellion, was imprisoned and tortured daily...
While the rest began to live like true slaves... They were chained next to their treadmills and bicycles and forced to work themselves to exhaustion daily...
Every day that the leader of this place tortured Zanka, he prayed and asked any God who could hear him to free him from this cruel fate...
