Chapter 39: Type: Vanguard (Part 3)
Kaito had a big smile on his face, underneath his clothes, a bracelet had been fixed. Inside, it was the space of a large garage that could easily fit two cars. Just this morning, this bracelet was full of drones and other explosive weapons that he had stolen from the factory that had burned down. But now, he had emptied it, leaving only the Energy Core that he had stolen from the City Hall and the Quantum Transmission Antenna.
All of his system’s missions were already complete except for the mission to collect the Combat Suit Prototype that was inside the Police Armory, and weapons and ammunition from the optional missions... Speaking of weapons and ammunition, he had gained a store that was full of them... On the first level of this store, in addition to normal and special ammunition, there were grenades of all types. But they cost his precious Vanguard Points... Kaito wanted to save these precious points to use on the upgrades in the store that was unlocked after he consumed the level 2 crystal he had gained in another mission.
The shop’s upgrades allowed for improved power, accuracy, and range of various types of firearms... And Kaito was eager to test them all...
"We’re here!" Oyibo replied as he parked in front of a business building where his brother had scheduled a meeting with the Muronis. As the two got out of the car and walked slowly toward the building, Oyibo noticed a camera.
"Aniki, we’ll have to take care of that camera..."
"No need, everything will start tomorrow, let’s give Valentina a gift..."
Kaito looked at the camera and gave a beautiful smile before finally entering the building while Oyibo sat outside and waited.
As soon as he entered the building’s reception, two men appeared and searched him, and then took Kaito in an elevator to the basement of the place. There he could see at least 30 important mobsters of the Muroni Mafia, including the current leader, Rizzo, and his younger brother, who was second in command. The leader stood out from the group and approached him.
"Kaito Hattori, I never thought you would come to me to propose a deal in person... It seems like the times—"
"AHHH!"
In the blink of an eye, a katana appeared in Kaito’s hands, and the leader fell to the ground after receiving a deep cut on both knees.
