Chapter 61: Frank Keller 1
"Young master, the things that you asked me before, I already took care of," Cristoff said as he sat beside Matthew in the back seat, passing him a sealed envelope. The moment Matthew arrived from his last exam, Cristoff was already there waiting for him.
"The cards are there," Cristoff said. "The accounts are clean, no links to your name or anything traceable. Offshore, as requested. One under a shell company in the Caymans, another in Zurich, and two more split between Belize and Singapore. All deposits cleared."
Matthew nodded and took a slow sip of water. The final day of exams had come and gone, just like that. He had hoped to finally unwind, but some things just couldn’t wait.
Matthew didn’t open the envelope. He trusted Cristoff. If the man said it was done, then it was.
"Any updates on Lenox?" he asked.
Cristoff leaned back slightly, eyes forward. "If there’s anything wrong with young master Lenox, then he’s hidden it too well. We couldn’t find anything substantial before he saved you years ago. However, we’re starting to trace some of his movements since arriving here."
Matthew didn’t interrupt. Lenox hid really well in his past life. Obviously, he wasn’t expecting Cristoff and the rest to succeed in masking Lenox’s mask off in just a few days.
"We found nothing on his main phone," Cristoff continued. "Our guess is he’s using a burner. I also cross-checked the locations he’s visited. Slow work. Some places don’t have CCTV, others wipe their recordings after a few days."
Matthew nodded. "Keep observing. After the gala, he’ll be moving out. You’ll have more time."
"Understood." Cristoff reached into his coat and handed him a tablet. "This is regarding your text this morning."
Matthew took the tablet and eyed the screen. Several listings popped up—land, isolated cabins, forest.
