Frank sat on the edge of his bed, half-dressed, a plastic fork still stuck in lukewarm noodles. His system screen floated just ahead of him, its light sharp against the dim apartment. He hadn’t touched the second bite.

The message hit first:

Lurevan – Frostglass Domain

"We require 150 crates of tomatoes. Price accepted at +2 tokens."

Frank chewed slowly, set the cup down, and wiped his hands on the side of his pants.

He tapped a reply:

"Understood. Supply will be arranged. Note: price now 52 tokens per unit."

A pause. Then Lurevan’s response came quickly:

"Acceptable. Confirm dispatch."

Before he could close the window, the second message slid in.
