Chapter 39: 5. The Second Rift
Before heading out to stop the rift incident, there was something I had to do. Something that might even be more important than the rift itself.

“Kiddo.”
Cha Sahyeon, who always wore a half-vacant expression when not talking to me, tilted her head at my call.
“Let’s make a promise.”
“Promise?”
“You don’t want to stay here alone waiting for me, right? You want to come along.”
“.......”
“Then you have to make a promise with me. And you have to keep it, or I won’t take you.”
Glancing at me with an anxious expression, Cha Sahyeon asked in a reluctant voice.
“...What’s the promise?”
“If I touch — uh, no, if I hold hands with other people, don’t get mad. And behave properly when I tell you to.”
