Chapter 31: I Was Tricked
“Weren’t you throwing that for me to drink?”
“That’s not it—ugh, whatever. Actually, I like that even more. Means you’re a guy who adapts fast... ow.”
Gu Seoryong tapped my foot under the table.
I figured she was up to something stupid, so I stomped on her foot to make her quit.
Instead, she smoothly twisted her leg out of the way and wrapped one of her legs around mine.
“Why do you keep wrapping yourself around me?”
“Don’t you get what it means? So innocent.”
She didn’t seem hostile. I decided to just ignore her leg and downed the new plate of barbecue in five bites.
Then Gu Seoryong placed another piece of meat in front of me and asked:
“So, how did you escape, CXI?”
“I woke up in W-City.”
“Huh? Wait, what? You just woke up there?”
