At this moment, a Beastman approached Yadang and Gaiyin in a jog, saying, "Chief, Priest, there are new discoveries at Shield Mountain. You’ve been invited to come over."
Gaiyin stepped forward and said indifferently, "Lead the way!"
Rini had gathered all the elderly, cubs, and females in the tribe in the Cave Hall for protection. Shield Mountain Ze and a few Beastmen had been searching through the small caves along the cliff and they stumbled upon some clues.
When Gaiyin and his company arrived, Shield Mountain Ze approached them with an excited look on his face, "Chief, the scent of the unfamiliar Beastmen is strongest in this little cave, but there’s nothing here."
Gaiyin looked over. The cave wasn’t large, perhaps only around five or six square meters. Because this cave was tucked far into the mountain, the tribe members didn’t inhabit it due to poor lighting.
But this was strange. All other caves had some degree of dust, requiring them to wipe it with beast skin before occupying. Yet almost no tribe member visited this cave except for the cubs who used it for hide and seek.
Moreover, compared to the other unoccupied caves nearby, this one was exceptionally clean and tidy, which raised suspicion.
Gaiyin and Yadang looked at each other and nodded, their thoughts were exactly in sync.
Yadang suddenly said loudly, "Ah, it seems we are a step too late. There’s really nothing in this cave. How strange. Who exactly is that Beastman and how did he get past us?"
