Husband of the Goblin Tribe

On rare occasions when I have a bit of free time that doesn’t involve me impregnating anyone or devising some kind of improved infrastructure here in Goblinhome, I do like to ponder things. One thing I was pondering was related to my goblin family, specifically, one of the so-called Ceremonies of Blood known as the Blood Fury.

According to what I have learned about it from Old One, when a goblin’s so-called Vessel has reached capacity, the body then undergoes some kind of metamorphosis to increase the size of the original Vessel, a process that takes roughly a week of real time to complete. The changes usually include an increase in size, strength, and intelligence. While there may be other changes to be found, these three are simply the most obvious to see.

My biggest issue is understanding what exactly the Vessel is. Is it some kind of spiritual measurement? It is a tangible thing, or something obscure like… say… the experience counter for levelling up in a Role-playing game? I really have no frame of reference to work with, and unfortunately, the only ones who really can explain it to me are either Old One who can’t elaborate further or purposely won’t, or the Great Protector, who I don’t… quite feel the need to seek out for any reason whatsoever.

None of the other Bloodmaw who have gone through their Blood Fury have been able to articulate their experience to me as to what it felt like to experience having a full Vessel. Yet, the best person to guard such secrets would, perhaps by sheer coincidence, be someone who doesn’t speak. At least, not in an easily comprehensible way.

“Gwah!”

Opening my eyes, I woke up to find a certain bratty prankster of a runt daughter resting her head on my shoulder and staring intently at my face.

“Mm… Glace?”

“Gwah.”

“…I take it since you’re here, I’m probably going to wind up doing something I don’t want to again, aren't I…?”

I didn’t hold back. Glace’s track record for doing me dirty is already well established, even if on a few occasions, she has prevented me from being seriously harmed.

Glace stuck out her tongue, then pulled it back and nodded. One thing that stood out to me was that she didn’t have that mischievous glint in her eyes this time.

“…is it a sudden strong-one coming or a blood fury this time? You can at least tell me that much, can’t you?”

Glace raised her tiny hand and displayed two pointy fingers for me to see.

“So… the second? A Blood Fury?”

Glace nodded her head.

“Ugh… well, that’s a good thing, right?”

Glace lifted her leg and with her foot, she pressed against my manhood.

“Gwah.”

“It’s going to be big-seed related?” I asked.

Glace nodded.

“Any chance it’s with an adult goblin?” I spoke aloud, hoping for the best.

“Gwoh.” Glace’s reply shut that hope down immediately.

“Of course it’s going to be one of my daughters again… do you have to hate me that much, Glace?”

Glace leaned in and gave me a soft kiss on the cheek. I know Glace doesn’t hate me. I just couldn’t help but vent my frustrations out on the only other person here.

I sighed.

“Alright, I get it… so, who’s it supposed to be this time?”

Manifesting a light rune at the tip of her tiny, pointed index finger, she drew in glowing golden goblin script which hung in the air for only a few seconds before fizzling out of existence once more.

“That can’t be right. She’s not even as old as Diana was when she underwent it!”

“Gwah.”

“Then, why?”

Glace could only shrug. She pointed at her eyes then at me.

“Are you saying you can somehow see when a goblin is ready?”

Glace made a complicated expression on her face.

“Gwah, Gwoh. Gwah-gwah-gwah.”

“Is it... only her?” I dared to ask.

Glace nodded again.

“But... don’t those two do everything together? Shouldn’t it be both of them?”

Glace held up a hand for me to be patient. She quickly bolted out of my room and came back with two cups a few moments later. One was filled to the brim, and the other was only two-thirds filled.

“Are you saying you can see how full each of their Vessels are?”

Glace nodded.

“Wait. If her Vessel is full, why do I need to give her big-seed? Won’t she undergo a Blood Fury normally without me doing anything?”

Glace nodded affirmatively again before gesturing once more for me to be patient. She went into a show of making the full cup explode and using bits of sand as some kid of… gap filler, the cup was pieced together to be a little bit bigger than it was before, but mostly empty.

“Right, I remember Old One explaining that the Vessel is enlarged in preparation for the next Blood Fury. But again, why is my big-seed needed?”

Glace then used her water pistol to fill the second cup all the way to the top before exploding the first cup that had been remade right before exploding the second cup she had just filled. She then went on to use her magic to piece together both cups, into a singular wider and taller cup.

“Are you saying the addition of my big-seedwill somehow make the Blood Fury… bigger or better in some way?”

Glace nodded emphatically.

She pointed with one hand to her other and manifested a small flame. She then made a slightly bigger flame. Then she made an extremely large flame which she snuffed out quickly to make her point without burning either of us.

I took a deep breath and exhaled.

“I get that you’re saying she will have some kind of significant Blood Fury. I understand that much… not that I fully understand it as much as I'd prefer to, but it feels like you are kind of cheating here…”

Glace nodded heavily.

“Eh? You actually are somehow cheating here?”

“GWAH!”

“Glace… is this what you did with Diana and Berry?”

Glace shook her head, holding up two fingers again.

“So, not Diana, but Berry?”

Glace gestured with her hands the shape of a fat belly on her body.

“Selene Hecate?”

Glace nodded.

“Then, was Berry’s Blood Fury... an accident?”

Again, more confirmation by way of nodding. Glace went on to somewhat pantomime that Berry’s Vessel was already over-full. Her excess was pouring into Selene Hecate who was still inside of her womb. When Selene Hecate came into the world, that was when Berry, who was now beyond her maximum capacity, had instantly entered into her Blood Fury with the birth of our daughter being the trigger.

The strange Runic magic being done while Berry was riding me at that time was intentionally being done to somehow siphon some of my excess personal mana into Selene who was inside of Berry, to further increase our daughter’s magical ability. Glace just didn't account for Berry to enter into her Blood Fury so immediately after Selene clawed her way out.

“Glace… is this why Selene was able to use my Quartz Focus Orb when it should have only been used by me, who it was attuned to?”

Glace shrugged and nodded half-heartedly. As far as I could discern, Glace figured that side-effect was nothing more than a happy accident.

“Okay, okay… so, let’s say I’m on board with what you want me to do… how is this going to play out for her? Am I going to be in significant danger once she enters into her Blood Fury?”

Glace shook her head, pointing to somewhere outside my bedroom entrance within the breeding room.

“You’ll be nearby just in case?”

Glace patted her chest, to reassure me that she had things under control.

Again, with exception to Prima and the unexpected situation involving Berry and my arm, Glace has been there each and every time to, if not protect me outright, at least make sure I survive…

“And when is all of this supposed to happen?” My final pertinent question being asked.

Glace pointed downward at her feet.

“Now?”

“Gwah!”

Glace then walked out of my bedroom, returning a few moments later with Ruby.

Ruby and Jade are the youngest of the sister pairs, and also the only goblins at the moment who carry affinities for magic. Ruby is attenuated to the Fire element, while Jade is attenuated to the Wind element. Both are pretty capable goblins when it comes to wielding magic, but also equally combat oriented. Ruby favors the whip, while Jade favors the Bow like Jewel does. They are also capable of combining their magic for… devastating effects.

Glace gave Ruby a shove towards me, sticking her tongue out at me in the process.

I returned a look that couldn’t be misunderstood as anything other than does she know?

Glace shook her head, but pointed at her mouth and then at Ruby, which I can only assume means I’m free to tell her what’s about to happen.

Again, I sighed.

Glace walked out and I was left together in my bedroom with my little flame princess. Taking a moment to sit upright, I patted my lap and beckoned Ruby to come sit on my lap.

“Husband!”

Quickly jumping into my lap and giving my body a warm hug, and I mean that figuratively, since her body temperature actually runs a bit hotter than all the other goblins, I brushed aside her bangs and planted a soft and simple kiss on her reddish-skinned forehead.

“Do you know why Glace brought you here?” I started with a simple question to her.

“Nope. Glace woke me up and made me follow her.”

“I see. Well then… I have some good news for you, I think.”

“Husband is going to make Ruby an adult goblin?”

“That’s part of it, but the reason Glace brought you here is because she thinks it’s time for you to have a Blood Fury.”

“Ruby… is going to have a Blood Fury now?”

“Something like that.”

Ruby frowned a bit when I told her that bit of news.

“Ruby… doesn’t want to hurt Husband!”

I gently stroked the side of her face while putting on a brave, smiling face of my own.

“You don’t need to worry about that. Glace is going to be nearby just in case, to make sure you won’t. But before that, I’d like to… explain something to you about it.”

“Ruby knows about Blood Furies. Old One told Ruby and Jade that goblins become stronger after having one.”

“That’s right. But Glace thinks that yours could be really… strong.”

Ruby tilted her head, giving the impression that she didn’t quite understand what I meant.

“How strong?”

“That’s a good question. I don’t actually know the answer to that… but I’m also curious. You know that I love you every bit as much as I do each of your sisters, don’t you?”

Ruby nodded.

“The most important thing to me is your happiness. I know you probably think it’s important to hurry up and become an adult goblin so you can better know your place in the tribe, and ready yourself to make strong-ones with me…” Ruby nodded along with me as I continued talking, “But, as much as I… think you’re still a bit too young to be an adult goblin, I do understand that this… could be an important opportunity for your growth as a Bloodmaw.”

“What’s opportunity?”

“Mm… it means a welcome chance to do something.”

“Husband thinks it’s good that Ruby has a strong Blood Fury?”

“I do. I wish it could have come later in your life… because I’d like for you to stay my strong-one just a little longer. But I also don’t want my selfishness to impact your future if it means you can be strong enough to help yourself and your sisters if anything bad were to come to the tribe... do you understand?”

“What’s selfish?”

“Mm… another way of saying greedy, I suppose.”

“Husband is a greedy goblin? Wants Ruby to stay a strong-one?”

“Well, that’s the human side of me wanting that.”

“Does Husband want to know what Ruby wants?”

“I do. Why don’t you tell me exactly what you want, my little Firestarter.”

“Ruby wants to be an adult goblin. Ruby knows Husband thinks she still a strong-one, but Ruby has been a strong-one for a long time already. Ruby knows that it’s time to become an adult goblin. Not being a strong-one anymore… is it really so bad? Ruby knows how to hunt and can even pick her own cave-hole to live in, even though Jewel’s is the best one in Goblinhome.”

“A long time… huh? You really think that you’ve been a strong-one for a long time?”

Ruby nodded.

“Ruby also knows that it will be a long time until she can make strong-ones with Husband, but… is it a bad thing to want to do fun things?”

“Fun things?”

“Getting big seed…”

“So, your sisters are telling you this?”

“Ruby talks with Lumi about it. She says Husband knows how to… make it fun and not hurt when first time getting big-seed from seed-stick!”

“Ah. Then, is that how Ruby would like it for her first time?”

Ruby nodded.

While normally she’s a very outgoing and outspoken goblin, to see her a little bit timid like this, preparing for her ascendence into goblin adulthood was… a precious moment to me. I just wish that I wasn’t also the slimy greaseball about to get into her loincloth!

“Ruby… will you do me one favor before we get started?”

“What Husband want Ruby to do?”

“Since this will be the last day you are considered a strong-one in the tribe… will you call me Daddy just once?”

“Gwuh-huh! Daddy!”

I hugged my little bursting volcano tightly one last time before she, too, would join the ranks of my many daughter-wives.

As much as I hate to admit it…

I’m… getting used to it.

Another gift perhaps left to me by the goddamn monster sleeping inside of me.

~~** Interlude | Glace **~~

So, I’m a bit of a pervert… so what!

Aside from Mama and Button, Papa is the easiest person for me to talk to. Even Old One struggles to understand me, since unfortunately, my pathetic gwahs aren’t something her Curse of Tongues can translate.

I decided to relax in the warm bath just outside and covertly send a cloaked magical scrying eye into Papa’s room to keep an eye on things. Plus, it’s not like there’s cable TV in this world, and unless I want to see Button getting fucked in her ass for the umpteenth time by Papa, sometimes I just gotta change the channel myself.

Of course, what I told Papa earlier wasn’t a complete lie. My system has been slowly and steadily upgrading itself since I’ve been reborn as a goblin in this world. As it gets stronger, I am able to see more and more information about myself, the other Bloodmaw, and recently—or finally, I should say—Papa.

My system now shows me a page dedicated to Vessel Saturation when I spy on everyone’s status. Without a doubt, the most monstrous goblin in all of Goblinhome, not counting Papa of course, is Diana Artemis.

I don’t know what it is exactly that makes her so special, but I’m pretty sure that Diana is not going to be having another Blood Fury for a long, long time. Her Vessel as of this moment… is MASSIVE. Far larger than Button’s by comparison, but I get the feeling that when Button finally goes through her own Blood Fury, she might come close to being equal with Diana as she is now. It really is a Mystery, since Berry’s Vessel didn’t grow all that much bigger after undergoing her own Blood Fury. It just goes to show that Papa’s big-seed is doing big things to the future generations of Bloodmaw!

What I have noticed over time is that those Bloodmaw who come into the world quickly thanks to Papa’s special ability are all kind of monstrous in their own way. Ebony, for instance, is also in possession of a large Vessel, though she most likely won’t reach her capacity and have a Blood Fury until it’s about time for her to become a mama goblin.

The younger generation are pretty frightening, too.

Primrose has a relatively normal size Vessel for being one of Papa’s daughters, but her Vessel is by far and away the fastest I’ve seen filling up. Selene’s is also large, just like Diana’s. Chanterelle also has a big one, but it’s barely filling up at all. Kiwi’s is nothing all that special. Gremory, though…

I really want to know what happened there.

Lumi’s Vessel is by no means small, being a goblin Saintess and blessed by our Creator. I half-suspected she underwent a Blood Fury while she was inside of Stella’s womb as the reasoning for that. But Gremory? My system is still struggling to comprehend her Vessel. By all accounts she’s a Bloodmaw Goblin, but it’s pretty obvious she’s also something… else.

However, the Vessel of interest at hand currently belongs to Ruby, and while I did tell Papa that her Vessel was full, she’s… juuuuuuuust under the capacity, otherwise she would have already begun her Blood Fury. My whole reason for having Papa do this now was that I was damn certain her first sexual experience with Papa would fill her Vessel the rest of the way.

Also, so long as Papa blows his load inside of her, she will also experience some kind of enhancement. Actually, I think the reason why my System got upgraded was related to that as well. Husband’s big-seed, however ingested, does things to these goblins. Prima says her physical strength rose greatly. Jewel says her mind got sharper. Diana says that when she’s hunting or in battle, things slow down almost to the point of stopping within her field of vision. Diana originally said it used to happen only once in a while, but after she bumped uglies with Papa in the middle of her Blood Fury, it’s like permanently switched on.

I’m unsure if Papa's big-seed enhancements are a one-time effect or if it somehow accumulates over time, but it’s worth investigating no matter what.
