Taking a deep breath, Yigol asked, “Which families have ties with the Campbell family? We should be able to find my real parents by eliminating them one by one. If it turns out they’ve really done something like that, there’s no need for us to acknowledge each other anyway.”
Caleb looked up at him and said, “Don’t take Will Mamet’s words to heart. Until everything is investigated thoroughly, anything can happen.”
After their conversation, Caleb stood up decisively, “Let’s go see Granny.”
At nine o’clock that night, Caleb and Xaviera left the Mamet Old Mansion after dinner.
On the way, Xaviera curiously asked, “What clues did you find? Is Yigol truly the child of an Imperial City family?”

Caleb felt something was amiss, and after more careful investigations, he indeed found clues. Back then, the Turner family and the Cole family were both victims of a conspiracy. So, the Turner family did not show up when the Powells visited Libanan, probably out of concern for Xaviera’s safety. But all these speculations rely on the premise that Xaviera is indeed a Turner.
Currently, Caleb couldn’t confirm if Xaviera was a Turner, yet Jacob Powell had recognized her five years ago.
Caleb pulled Xaviera into his arms and gently patted her head, “Don’t worry, I’m here for you.”
Xaviera nodded, her mood seemingly calmer, when suddenly she heard his cool voice say, “Jayden Woods is returning to Libanan soon.”

Although the name sounded somewhat unfamiliar, Xaviera wouldn’t forget: Zara Woods’ brother, the adopted son of the Woods family, and the man who had promised to give her shares in the Woods Group.
Caleb spoke nonchalantly, “As I’ve told you before, there is some connection between the Powell family and the Woods family. Jayden was originally a Powell; there used to be a Powell family in Libanan, too. The two old family heads of the Yittaland Powells and the Libanan Powells were half-brothers with the same father. After Jayden’s parents took over their respective families, the two sides maintained contact.”
