Chapter 1049 - Chapter 1049 Chapter 1049 Dont Talk to Fools
Chapter 1049: Chapter 1049: Don’t Talk to Fools Chapter 1049: Chapter 1049: Don’t Talk to Fools Jerome Russell laughed, “The scenery here is beautiful, isn’t it? Actually, every grass and tree here were personally tended by Grandma. She used to spend all her time working, but now with the company handed over to the younger generation, she uses her free time to arrange some flowers and plants.”
Xaviera Evans couldn’t help but sigh silently. Letitia Russell was such a legendary woman. Decades ago, she was the most beautiful woman in Holy City. Even though she is old now, she still looks graceful and charming. But why did she marry that scum, Cory Hughes?
“Actually, Grandma built this restaurant to express her longing. The ‘cloud’ in the name ‘Cloud House’ independently signifies her three children. She really loved these three kids. But why did Aunt Nina die so young, and why did Mrs. Nidya turn out this way?”
Hearing Jerome’s words, a bitter pain surged up in Xaviera’s heart.
Seeing the sadness in Xaviera’s eyes, Jerome hurriedly laughed: “It’s all in the past. At least, we, the younger generation, are doing well! But, the Hughes family really annoys me because they always disrupt people’s peace.”
Xaviera nodded. As the two walked in the back garden, they suddenly heard a voice from not far away: “Mom, don’t be angry. It’s Zora’s apprenticeship day today, you can’t faint again. Don’t worry, I won’t let that little bitch go. She let the Hughes family lose face, I will make her pay the price!”
Jerome was immediately enraged. He recognized the speaker – it was Nidya Hughes, and the person she was calling ‘Mom’ was Madam Hughes.
Nidya Hughes, being the biological daughter of Letitia, addressed the mistress as ‘Mom’ and called her own daughter ‘little bitch’. Does such a person deserve to have kin?
Jerome was fuming and about to start a quarrel, but Xaviera grabbed his arm and urged, “Jerome, don’t be impulsive. It’s beneath your dignity to quarrel with her. Besides, today is your birthday, don’t spoil your mood because of them.”
After hearing Xaviera’s words, Jerome’s face relaxed a bit. He sneered: “Who do they think they are! The Russells don’t even think highly of them! They’re nothing more than a pack of ungrateful wolves!”
Jerome’s voice was loud, and Nidya Hughes overheard it. She immediately shouted: “You cheeky Russell brat! Who are you calling ungrateful wolves? Say that again! Hasn’t your mother taught you to respect your elders?”
Jerome clenched his teeth, unable to believe that Nidya Hughes, born from the same mother, could be so rude and uncouth.
“Mrs. Hughes,” Jerome snorted, “I never said you were an ungrateful wolf. It’s you who admitted it. I didn’t expect someone would dare to ask for insults voluntarily! Xaviera, let’s go! I’m not wasting my time talking to an idiot!”
“You hold it right there!” Nidya Hughes roared, “Jerome Russell! I am your aunt, how can you talk to me like that? Calling me an ungrateful wolf and an idiot? Don’t you have manners?”
Jerome snorted, “How could my aunt call a mistress ‘mom’? Mrs. Hughes, don’t claim relations that don’t exist. The Russell family doesn’t have anyone as ungrateful as you!”
Those words hit faces of both Nidya Hughes and Sebastian Legend. The two of them were infuriated, gasping heavily, wishing they could tear Jerome’s mouth apart.
Nidya Hughes glared at him furiously. Even a little brat from the Russell family looked down on her, who was the biological daughter of Letitia. No matter what, she was Jerome’s elder, how could he disrespect her so much?
What was so good about Letitia? She was selfish, only caring about herself. That’s why all the children she raised were so selfish, indulging themselves without considering the Hughes family.
