Chapter 833: Shopping Spree at Penglai

While Daoist Cangsheng and the other masters of the Heavenly Origin continued their grand battle on Mount Shu, the three islands of Penglai remained serene and untouched. Spirit birds soared above the mountain peaks, exotic beasts roamed the forests, and multicolored clouds drifted around the entrances to the three paradises of nature.

A loud blast suddenly echoed through the mountains as demonic qi rose amid Mirage Mountain. Yet, the disciples who heard the blast didn't pay any attention to it. In an immortal sect, it was a common occurrence for disciples to produce a lot of noise when they practiced their divine abilities. Similarly, it was normal for spirit beasts to randomly release bursts of demonic qi.
However... the demonic qi kept growing denser until it blanketed half a mountain.
At last, it caught the attention of a disciple who was near the source of the demonic qi. Curious, he went to investigate and stumbled upon a shocking scene.
There was a man clad in black robes, radiating menacing qi flames. He was holding an unfurled picture scroll.
The scroll glowed brightly, releasing seemingly endless and dense demonic qi. More figures clad in black emerged from the scroll one by one, soon covering half the mountainside.
"You're..." the young Penglai Supreme Sect disciple uttered, clearly stunned. Never in his life did he expect to see this within the top righteous immortal sect of the mortal world. He simply stared for a moment, then he blurted out, "Half-demons?!"
The black-clad man with the picture scroll brushed past him, instantly beheading the young disciple.
The other Penglai Supreme Sect disciples quickly backed away in shock, shouting, "Demons are attacking the mountain!"
