Chapter 42: The East People 1
The carriage stopped, and Acantha saw that Helion went down from his horse to see what happened.
Acantha was still looking out the window, and she saw that Helion seemed to be talking to some people.
"Who are they?" She asked Mildred, who was looking out the opposite window.
"They were travellers from the east; it seems like they were caught with some mountain bandits who were stealing the travellers things," Mildred explained to her, and Acantha just nodded.
She closes the window and settles back to her seat again. They should’ve used the mana stones to travel to avoid delays.
But, based on Flamear, they can’t use it on the mountain, and beside Helion refuses to teleport them there, as he said it would be dangerous if someone sensed their power.
Acantha was about to take a nap for awhile when she heard some knocks on the window as it opened, and Jarnus came out of it.
"Lady Acantha, His highness wants to ask if those travellers can come with us as they too are going home to the east, but they were robbed by some mountain bandits," Jarnus said.
Acantha nodded as she was really feeling tired; it has been an exhausting day for her. She gets the cushion that was already in the carriage as she puts it on her head, while the other one was where Flamear was taking a nap.
She has been wondering why he didn’t wake up when the carriage suddenly stopped; maybe he was too tired too.
