Chapter 33: What happened?
They saw the knights who were now running to their directions, she even saw her father who was surprised to see her there.
"What are you doing here, Aki?" He asked as he was inspecting if I have some scratches or wounds, and when he saw none, he sighed in relief.
I looked at him with sadness evident in my eyes. "Where have you all been father?" I asked as I was trying so hard not to crack as I can still see the those people who were lying on the street dead in my mind.
The Duke looks as he can sense the sadness in my voice, "I-we" The duke couldn’t finished his sentence as he looks at her with so much regret on his eyes.
"Duke, we have problem." One of the knight’s said as he was panting as he calls for the duke.
"What was it?" The duke ask as he turn to the man.
"There are many people who had been killed, and there were still more monsters coming out from nowhere," He said as reported the situation.
"What about Empire’s knight? Did the palace already send them here?" The duke asked as he looks around and couldn’t see any knights beside them.
"T-they are still yet to arrive, " The poor knight said as he was afraid of the duke who looks angry now.
"Did they also went to the place that the enemy sent to lure us?" The duke asked and Acantha was listening.
A trap? does that mean, the reason why there aren’t any knights in the market was because, they were sent some traps to lure them? How can they let theirselves be deceived with something?
