Chapter 49: Unfair betting
"Sorry! Princess Liana, I'm late!" Although Loraviel hurried back, she still made Liana wait for a bit.
Liana raised her hand, and Loraviel, frightened, closed her eyes, but Liana merely patted her head gently, "You're still far from becoming a qualified maid."
Then Liana got into the carriage, "What are you standing around for? Do you still need me to teach you what to do?"
"Thank you, Princess Liana!" Loraviel bowed in thanks.
After maid training, Loraviel could now skillfully drive a carriage.
"Loraviel, are you ready to pass the knight's exam?" Liana asked.
"I... I'm not sure," Loraviel was unsure of what the knight's exam entailed, nor did she know her own level of ability.
"There will be a knight's exam in a week."
"Princess Liana..."
"Don't say you're not confident. You've received high-level executor training, which even noble children don't always get. A month's time is more than enough, so just pass the mage exam as well."
"Okay..." But Loraviel had only been exposed to these skills for a month, previously having no experience in magic or combat.
She was a complete novice, starting from zero, and she knew that most who passed the knight or mage exams had at least a year of basic training.
