Ruel settled into the pilot's seat, his hands gripping the controls.
The holographic displays shifted, providing him with a first-person view of the surrounding city.
It was a disorienting but exhilarating experience.
Mei Feng stood beside him, her initial apprehension replaced by a growing sense of excitement.
"You got this, Ruel?" she asked, her eyes scanning the intricate array of controls.
Ruel winked. "Please. I've played enough video games to know how to drive a... giant futuristic RV."
He took a deep breath, his focus sharpening. "Here we go."
With a gentle touch, he engaged the propulsion system.
The RV Battleship hummed to life, but no thrumming that vibrates the vehicle.
So it began to move, gliding smoothly through the ruined streets.
"Whoa, this is... smooth," Mei Feng exclaimed, her eyes widening as they navigated the debris-strewn landscape. "It's like floating."
