Crusader King

Chapter 107: Endless chain(8)

The downwards attack consisted of the giant bipedal monster clasping it's hands together to completely smash Cades, but Cades himself managed to get away from the monsters fruitless attack quite easily, an attack that was perhaps so slow because he came from far away and hadn't known that Cades had actually been here.

And as such it had really been surprisingly easy for Cades to take a step to the side, expecting the clamped fists to hit right in front of him, causing the being to momentarily be tomfooled and stunned, resulting in him attacking right after, destroying the lower half, the legs, of the ten foot monster that was attacking him.

As he was awaiting that he also finally had the time to look at the b#stard that was now attacking him, a foolish act that was however quite in his current interests, the striving for knowledge, and indeed, it was interesting, the fact that the thing was seemingly quite similar to the puppets he had fought before.

That which he saw was a kind of golem, ten foot tall with weirdly orange glowing eyes that resembled little balls of light such as the one he had cast at his entrance exam to the Unulria magic academy, the spell that had once a long time ago actually troubled him when he was first learning the spell, and magic all together.

Other than that it consisted of a series of gigantic tightly packed boulders that resembled a picture-perfect and well-known golem-type that could be seen in almost every kind of fantasy or every kind of schematics for creating golems, one covered in a glossy shell of something atop the boulders that seemingly consisted of the same thing.

It had gigantic arms and it's body resembled that of a gorilla with a tiny round face that resembled a sphere with two hollowed out eyes in the middle in which the previously mentioned balls of light were glowing in the same bright orange as previously.

Cades, finally realizing all of it, looking at the glossy obsidian golem, he felt a kind of instinctual trust, not fear, not anger, but weirdly enough he felt as if that golem was something that could help him, was something he had been searching for, but either way he no longer had time.
