Chapter 65: Wooden world(1)
As the archer asserted his position and exclaimed his wish to finally leave this accursed temple once more Cades had to agree, there were basically no differences between the two temples that he had visited up to now, except for the door paintings, and if he had any more questions, which he had, he could just as them during their journey along the endless onyx chains.
And indeed after a few short moments the two began moving, almost in sync, both staring at each other and trying to analyse their every movement to anticipate what would happen, just in case that they would have to fight each other, after all, though trust had been established, neither of them wholly trusted the other.
The archer forced himself to stand on wobbly legs as he began walking ahead, very well aware that Cades could quite easily defeat him, though maybe with quite a bit of hesitation, seeing as he did ever so slightly start to trust the archer, Manug.
With wavering arms the archer pushed open the heavy stone door, its edges sliding across the floor causing it to somehow crumble despite this not happening when it had first opened, or maybe they had just not noticed it because of their entrancement and their assumptions seeing as literal tons of silver had crawled out from under the heavy door.
Actually, how did the silver even know he was there ?
Did it detect his magic or something of the likes ?
That would indeed make quite a bit of magic, but if it did then why had it only reacted to his magic..
Perhaps because of the magic system permeating the archers entire body, or perhaps because of something else, perhaps because of the weird glyphs that he had.. engraved, or rather the engravings that he had somehow created, however he had done it..
Yes, that made sense.. Kind of.
But, rather than that the two took a second, staring down at the slightly shaking onyx chain and jumped, asserting their own positions once more and starting to walk along the only one of the chains that none of them had walked along yet, hoping to see something good at the end, whatever that may be.
Perhaps a castle filled with people, allies and friends..
