It took Lily quite a while to regain a bit of strength and she crawled out of bed, glancing at Su Chengyu who was immersed in his cultivation, and said helplessly, "It seems I’ve lost."
Most of her spiritual essence had been absorbed. Since the cultivation technique she practiced was not compatible with Su Chengyu’s, Lily didn’t benefit at all from the warmth of that night.
In this war where only one side was destined to win, Lily had been utterly defeated, both in spirit and in body.

Lily offered a shallow smile, "Sorry for what? Aren’t we both grown-ups? Can’t you take responsibility for yourself?"
