Two days passed in the blink of an eye. During those days, Liu Yan had been staying at Villa No.1 without leaving and did not disturb Su Chengyu in his room. Behind her seemingly calm expression, she hid deep worries.
She was also scared, fearing that Su Chengyu wouldn’t be able to stand up after this fall. Many times, she couldn’t help but walk up to his room, trying to listen for any sounds, but she heard nothing.
In the afternoon, Fang Qing drove to Villa No. 1 and, seeing Liu Yan there, asked in curiosity, "Why are you here? Where’s Su Chengyu?"
"He’s sound asleep in his room," Liu Yan replied.
"Sleeping in broad daylight? I hope he’s alright." said Fang Qing.
"He’s not okay, something big happened," sighed Liu Yan.
"What happened? Please tell me you’re joking." Fang Qing had left for Jiangyang for a few days and just returned to Lin Jiang.
"Nan Zhi has been taken away by her clan." Liu Yan revealed.
"What are you saying? I don’t understand." A bewildered expression spread across Fang Qing’s face.
Liu Yan briefly explained Xu Nanzhi’s lineage. She wasn’t exactly sure about Xu Nanzhi’s real family history. Then, Fang Qing asked, "Didn’t you try to stop this?"
"I tried, but now it’s all up to him," Liu Yan said.
