Fang Ming’s timely arrival was due to the efforts of Fang Qing and Zeng Yifan.
After Fang Qing was thrown out of the Dragon Soul office by Stone Sword Edge, she quickly called her father, Fang Zhenhai, pleading for him to step in and rescue Su Chengyu.
Fang Zhenhai, in his high status, naturally couldn’t intervene on behalf of a nobody like Su Chengyu to interfere with the Dragon Soul office’s operations. However, due to Fang Qing’s relentless entreaties, and even the lie that she was carrying Su Chengyu’s child, he conceded.
Fang Zhenhai, though, was angry, but he eventually agreed due to his love for his cherished daughter.
Fang Qing worried that even with Fang Zhenhai’s intervention, Su Chengyu could still be held and oppressed by Stone Sword Edge in the Lin Jiang Dragon Soul office. To ensure his safety, she also called her older brother, Fang Ming, asking him to hurry over.
In spite of his initial disapproval of Su Chengyu, Fang Ming, out of love for his sister and in consideration of his future brother-in-law, immediately hurried over from Jiangyang City.
Fang Ming and Fang Qing arrived at the Dragon Soul Department together, initially intending to see Stone Sword Edge. However, they arrived to see a severely injured Zeng Yifan being escorted away and stopping them to warn that danger was awaiting Su Chengyu.
After a strong intervention by Fang Ming, they took Zeng Yifan with them, rushing to the interrogation room in time.
Seeing Su Chengyu covered in blood and riddled with wounds in the interrogation room, Fang Qing couldn’t contain her emotions. She freed Su Chengyu from his restraints, held him tight in her arms, tears streaming down her face.
"Su Chengyu, how are you? Let me take you to the hospital!"
"I’m fine, I won’t die! You came just in time, otherwise Stone Sword Edge would have ruined me." Su Chengyu replied weakly.
