"No! Su Chengyu, you’ve misunderstood me," Cheng Xiaoyun tried to explain.
Waving a hand dismissively, Su Chengyu interjected, "No need for excuses. You could have simply asked me for assistance, as a favor for an old classmate. I would’ve obliged, but you shouldn’t take me for a fool. You saw Lin Chuxue at the 4S store and therefore knew of my relationship with the Lin family."
"I’m sorry, I had no other choice. Dong Yi has been harassing me incessantly, threatening me in all sorts of ways. I wanted to ask you directly but was afraid you would refuse."
Having been exposed by Su Chengyu, Cheng Xiaoyun had no choice but to confess.
Indeed, everything that happened today was her own calculation, intending to use Su Chengyu as a means for her revenge against Dong Yi.
