Memory of Heaven:Romance Written By Fate Through Beyond Infinity Time

Chapter 214 Varduga

The sky has not yet finished unleashing its havoc.

Just as the fog of Nymbrax dissipated, the ground on the right side of the river cracked violently. A low, rumbling sound reverberated from the depths of the earth like the agonizing shatter of bones, reverberating through the very air. Rinoa shot up, her body instinctively turning toward the ominous source of the sound, while her warm embrace of Fitran slowly loosened—an unavoidable necessity in the face of impending danger.

Varduga.

The harbinger of destruction loomed menacingly; a towering humanoid giant with a jaw lined with jagged iron and bone. Its grotesque body was marred by open wounds that oozed with a sinister green smoke, as though it were harboring an ancient poison that had festered and never healed, a menace personified.

"Not... not now... not again!" Rinoa gritted her teeth, her resolve hardening as she positioned herself protectively in front of Fitran, ice magic crackling and gathering in her palms, a taut anticipation in the chilly air.

But Rinoa relied on more than just ice; with unwavering determination, she summoned a flurry of magic aimed at safeguarding Fitran. From her hands, she unleashed:

Sylphid Whirl: A ferocious whirlwind of air spiraled around Fitran, enveloping him in its embrace and sharpening the speed of their counterattack, transforming him into a swift figure of wind, a blur of motion.

Sylphid Blade: Razor-sharp blades of slicing air shot forth at blinding speed, cleaving through the atmosphere and disrupting the focus of the taken-aback enemy, their surprise palpable amid the chaos.

Sylphid Barrier: A translucent protective layer of swirling wind cocooned them, softening the impact of incoming enemy attacks, allowing them to assault simultaneously with Fitran, a synchronized display of defiance against despair.
