Chapter 20 Marquez & Spectrum Quantum Magic (1)
"I can't believe this is happening," said the man in black adorned with a silver circular necklace marked with a dragon—a sign that he belonged to the warrior class. Beside him stood a girl.
"Someone is creating a shield," he continued, his eyes scanning the mysterious room filled with shadows and anxiety. "A very strong shield. Is Juliet the one activating it?"
Antlantis School, floor 50, the atonement room was bathed in dim light, the walls adorned with ancient symbols and mysterious shadows danced from the glowing light.
"The five bodies are the high-ranking officials of Gaia," said the bespectacled girl, her voice firm yet slightly trembling as she recorded her report, the pen gliding across the soft paper. She glanced at the man in front of her, curiosity evident as she observed the lifeless bodies surrounded by the mysterious aura from the walls decorated with ancient symbols.
"My quantum spectrum is not functioning," said the Pastor, gesturing towards the cluster of corpses before him. In the context of the magical system of this world, the quantum spectrum is essential for understanding and manipulating the fundamental elements—hydrogen, the building blocks of everything. Each element possesses a frequency and vibration influenced by the magical energy surrounding it. "When the spectrum fails, it indicates that a force is disrupting the resonance of the elements," Castor elaborated, as if unraveling the mystery shrouding the bodies. He conjured a circle of energy with purple particles, which spun harmoniously, offering a mystical display. These particles, the result of his in-depth experiments, showcased the intricate interactions between magical energy and quantum physics, bringing life to a place steeped in death.
Today, at exactly 9 PM, five bodies were found in a gruesome state. Their bodies were covered in blood; it appeared they had suffered severe hemorrhaging, yet there were no signs of sharp weapons, blunt force trauma, or magic to explain the blood loss. Blood flowed from their noses, ears, fingernails, skin pores, eyes, and mouths. In this case, the bleeding could have been caused by a failure of the circulatory system intertwined with the energy balance within the body, often related to how the hydrogen element functions in a larger system.
"Everything is normal," the Pastor said calmly, drawing in his particles and watching them disappear into the light. This action reflected his belief that despite the many complex issues stemming from the interaction of elements in the magical context, everything remained within predictable bounds as long as we understood the nature of the energy involved.
"Organ damage?" the bespectacled girl inquired, her large eyes filled with curiosity as they sought to uncover the mystery before them. Her voice trembled, conveying her anxiety in the face of this ambiguous situation, as if she desired to delve deeper into the darkness surrounding the event.
"No," the pastor replied, his tone firm despite the mysterious undertones enveloping his response. In his mind, various thoughts raced quickly, attempting to comprehend what might hold the secrets behind this strange occurrence. He began to ponder the factors that could lead to such unexpected phenomena, and what impact it might have on the tightly woven power structure in their town, creating a tension that lingered in the air.
