Chapter 16 Fitran Vs Elbert (1)
Ambassador Atlantis Magic School Room at 9 PM
A terrifying black aura enveloped the entire room, resembling thick fog that disturbed every corner, exuding a sharp metallic scent of splattered blood. Under the dim light that cast an eerie shadow, dozens of corpses lay sprawled on the floor, their skin a bluish hue, and their empty eyes lost in eternal void. Soon after, those corpses began to rise in a horrifying resurrection, biting into one another with a chilling growl, filling the air with deep despair. Blood splattered everywhere, creating a gruesome residue on the dust-covered floor, while statues around the room started to move, animated by an overwhelming dark force. The sound of crashing objects shattered tables, chairs, and other furniture, intensifying the grim atmosphere with reverberating impacts. The room appeared not only disheveled but also ensnared in a curse, further amplifying the darkness that surrounded it, as though trapped in an unbreakable bond with the very essence of darkness itself.
Elbert, one of the most talented and respected teachers at the school, sat on a sturdy old wooden table that trembled beneath his weight, facing the entrance with a tension etched on his face. It seemed he was awaiting someone.
Kreeeeettt ....! The main door swung open with a loud creak, filling the vacant space with an echo that made Elbert's heart race, yet no one was there. He observed intently, sensing a magical vibration in the air, as if the room were infused with protective spells meant to thwart the rise of darkness. However, as he attempted to glance elsewhere, accompanied by a painful buzzing in his ears, he felt the tension enveloping every inch of the room, waiting for a moment that would change everything.
With a loud crash, the door slammed shut, causing the hinges that held it to break free and fall, echoing a stunning boom that reverberated through the room. In an instant, the group of walking corpses halted, as if swept away by an invisible blade; their heads detached from their shoulders rolled down the staircase, creating a chilling silence that marked the end of their empty journey.
Thud ... thud ... thud ... thud, the sound of heavy footsteps pierced the tension in the room, creating a rhythm that drew closer and made every heartbeat of Elbert thrum with uncertainty, deepening the growing anxiety.
As the steps approached Elbert, the atmosphere grew even tenser. The sound of footsteps faded against the dusty floor, blending with the foul smell of blood that hung in the air. Suddenly, a man in a tattered black cloak appeared, his ragged garment fluttering slowly as if influenced by a chilling breeze that had unexpectedly swept through. Half of his face was visible, hinting at a dark tale that once existed.
He released his cloak, which hung limply as if reluctant to leave his body.
Behind the black fabric, a man with flowing silvery-white hair emerged, adding an air of mystery to his presence. His striking red eyes burned with intensity, complemented by a confident expression that seemed to radiate power. He wore a shiny black combat uniform adorned with bold blue and white accents.
