Chapter 610 - Times Have Changed (Part 1)
Captain Doofus, Captain Death, and Captain Crow really were angry. It was one thing for Six-Path Flower to be stronger than them, but Baby Cloud and #18 were nothing when they first joined the team. But it looked like having the right species simply gave too big an advantage.
The three of them could only double down and work even harder. Dark Crow sacrificed more of its eyes to create clones, hoping to raise its own power through the legion. Sudden Death King bulked up its defense by letting Captain Doofus use it as a sword training dummy. The method allowed the two of them to grow simultaneously.
None of them was content with falling behind. Captain Doofus naturally had an aggressive personality, while Dark Crow was ambitious. Sudden Death King grew out of fear of suddenly dying in battle. It was the designated tank for the team, so bolstering its defenses was a matter of life and death.
During team training, the worst that could happen was getting pummeled, but once they faced off against the Divine Dragons, the gloves would be coming off. They couldn’t afford to be even slightly careless.
With the latter members of the team reaching Primary Divine first, it actually benefited the founding members. The saying, "strength begets strength,” really held true.
Captain Doofus had four swords: elemental, Undead, plant, and mechanical. Three of them corresponded to the Elemental, Plant, and Mechanical Primary Divines that were now on the team. With the proper resources, reaching Superior Legendary was a given. As for the Undead sword, Lu Ran possessed the Stone of the Other Shore, so it wouldn’t fall behind either.
They would also soon go hunt down the Chaos Dragon God for Sudden Death King. With a team full of Primary Divines, Sudden Death King could just sit back and reap the rewards. Furthermore, #18 could help improve its Star Dragon Shield Spirit and temper it with some electroshock therapy.
Finally, Dark Crow could improve by developing its legion. The only thing slowing it down was its recovery time. With Six-Path Flower and #18 standing by, it was now a non-issue.
The presence of Primary Divines would greatly accelerate the team’s growth. Life was always easier if there was someone to carry you to the finish line.
"Who knows about your breakthrough to the Primary Divine rank?" Lu Ran asked.
"Nobody should. I completed my breakthrough in outer space. I expanded my domain over the entire planet to prevent anyone from noticing."
"Amazing!" Lu Ran nodded with satisfaction. "The Torch Dragon also seemed to cover the entire world with its domain. If its domain is combined with yours and Captain Doofus’, it would be technically possible to treat the planet as a sword. The power would be unimaginable...
