Chapter 590 - Divine Dragons’ Offspring (Part 1)
Ever since Six-Path Flower reincarnated that lazy turtle as the Divine Turtle’s offspring, the Divine Turtle lived a rather comfortable life. Although it was a male turtle, Lu Ran decided to sponsor its maternity leave. After all, he was responsible for its pregnancy.
To make sure the “mother” had proper nutrition, Lu Ran made sure to leave an ample supply of food, including meat of Legendary creatures and Epic-grade resources. Even in its heyday, the Divine Turtle had never enjoyed such a sumptuous diet before.
It was at one point one of the overseers of the continent, so it couldn’t just wantonly hunt Legendary creatures on a whim. Lu Ran had no such reservation, however, and became a full-on killing god. In fact, the Divine Turtle didn’t mind being pregnant for a few more years.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go as it wished. Its pregnancy didn’t even last as long as a human’s. It absorbed enough nutrients after just one short month and laid an egg.
When Black Tortoise finally broke out of its egg, a brilliant halo surrounded it while spiritual energy swirled about. It retained the memories of its previous life, but despite the abundance of nutrients, it wasn’t born as a Legendary creature.
Throughout history, only a handful of creatures were born at the Legendary rank. The Chaos Dragon God was one of them, thanks to both of its parents being peak-Legendary creatures.
“Step-daddy!”
The newborn Black Tortoise was no bigger than a palm. Surprisingly, its entire body was pure white.
Its shell gleamed like a well-polished jade, and the patterns on it were very distinct, as if they were meticulously carved by nature itself.
“I ain’t your daddy!” The Divine Turtle still felt a bit uncomfortable.
“Then... mommy?” Black Tortoise tested.
“Fuck off. Even if you were technically reborn through my body, you will still address me as Senior.”
