Chapter 11: Adaptive Body
The sun had dipped below the horizon, bleeding crimson across the sky, while twin moons climbed higher, casting a silvery glow over the land. The soft chirping of insects and rustling leaves accompanied Leon's weary footsteps as he trudged through the forest. His entire body ached, exhaustion weighing down on him like a lead blanket.
[Mana: 10/150]
[Inventory (F3)]
'I had to use this skill twenty-five damn times just to level it up twice...' Leon groaned internally. 'Four hours and twenty minutes wasted, just to increase my inventory slots. At least now I can store up to 14kg per item.'
His fingers twitched. Every limb felt heavy, sluggish. He could barely keep himself upright.
'And the worst part? If my mana drops below fifteen, my body feels like absolute shit. It's like something's sucking the life out of me—I can barely move, let alone think straight.'
His eyelids threatened to close as his steps slowed, but then—
"Wait... I should use that."
Leon gritted his teeth and activated his next skill.
[Extreme mana loss detected.]
